About Me

Hello, I’m Maria, an experienced mathematics teacher with over 13 years of teaching experience across a wide range of ages and ability levels.

I specialize in Cambridge AS and A-Level Mathematics, and have taught in diverse educational settings, including high schools in Canada, Europe, and Africa. For five years, I taught Advanced Level Mathematics, helping students develop strong problem-solving skills and confidence in preparation for their exams. Throughout my career, I have taught a variety of subjects and grade levels, which has given me a strong ability to adapt my teaching to each student’s needs. My approach emphasizes clear explanations, logical thinking, and building confidence, helping students move from confusion to understanding.

My academic background includes a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Physics, a B.Ed. in Secondary Mathematics, and a M.Sc. in Secondary Mathematics Education, where I focused on teaching mathematics through problem-solving.

I am passionate about making mathematics accessible and meaningful, and I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, working through challenges, and developing real understanding.
